关于主唱参加加拿大偶像比赛，是因为原乐队的队员与主唱JacobHoggard打赌150$jacob不会参加加拿大偶像的试镜。最终Jacob成功晋级前三，因为选票落后而最终名列加拿大偶像第二季第三名。

随后，Hedley又与SimplePlan,FaberDrive,MxPx,Nickelback和BonJovi乐队进行了巡回演出。2006年夏天，Hedley乐队完成为Yellowcard乐队巡回演唱会的开场秀后，在美国与CapitolRecords（国会唱片公司）签约。于2007年9月20日发行了第二张专辑FamousLastWords。专辑中的单曲"She'sSoSorry"于2007年8月21日通过电台发布。MV在安大略省多伦多市拍摄。2007年9月20日首次登上MuchMusic榜单。

2010年Hedley于美国环球唱片公司签约。起初拟定在美国10月12日推出专辑GoWiththeShow，但最终?于12月7日推出。乐队也同样在全美为新专辑做巡回演出。新专辑在巡回演出中包含特别曲目"IDo(WannaLoveYou)"和"ColorOutsideTheLines"。

2006年的2006年的JunoAwards，Hedley的同名专辑“Hedley”被提名RockAlbumOfTheYear，乐队被提名为NewGroupOfTheYear。在颁奖典礼结束的时候，他们演唱了“OnMyOwn”。

2007年6月17日，在MuchMusicVideoAwards上他们被提名FavouriteCanadianGroup，BestPopVideo和BestPost-Production。最后赢得了BestPopVideo。
