Peter, Paul & Mary

Peter,Paul&Mary是上世纪60年代最受欢迎的重唱组合，后来的几十年也证明了他们是音乐历史上生命最长久的团体之一。他们的根比任何一个民谣团体都要扎得深，他们的影响力所波及的听众群是其他民谣团体可望不可及的。

1、概况介绍

Peter,Paul&Mary

这个三人组合在他们的传奇生涯*获得了5个格来美奖，发行了5张Top10专辑，6张金唱片和3张白金唱片。Peter,Paul&Mary由PeterYarrow，PaulStookey和MaryTravers组成，他们原来分别活跃于音乐界。在一段几乎有如传奇的历程之后，在后来BobDylan的经纪人Grossman的建议下，正式组成三重唱。

1962年五月，他们首度以《LemonTree》打进排行，一炮而红，接着又以老前辈PeteSeeger的《IfIHadaHammer》得到了排行的第十名，同时荣获“最佳合唱团体”和“最佳民歌录音”等两项格莱美奖。这是他们自己最钟爱的歌曲之一，对政治，对世情都提出了批判，也树立起后来他们许多“*”歌曲的模式。

2、合作原因

事实上，他们三个人之所以能够情投意合，除了音乐上的理念相近，更因为他们对于政治的思想都一致。他们不但在歌曲中唱出自己的想法，还经常一起积极的去参与各种群众运动，而且数十年如一日，并不像许多人那样，在稍微上了点年纪之后就冷淡下来。而除了自身的创作，他们还独具慧眼的采用了好些“新人”的作品，包括BobDylan，JohnDenver和来自加拿大的GordonLightfool等等，就是因为Peter,Paul&Mary率先唱红了他们的作品，他们才开始引起广泛注意的。

3、歌曲风格

Peter,Paul&Mary

有些人唱歌是为了名利，有些人屹立歌坛，欲为了一份执着的理想，希望透过自己的歌声，传递他们坚决相信真理。在美国的现代民歌史上，曾经有许多著名的艺人与团体，都是以鲜明的政治色彩而著名，包括PeteSeeger，Peter,Paul&Mary三重唱，BobDylan和JoanBaez等等，都是最标准的例证。他们透过歌唱与实际的行动，*的宣扬反战的理念，即使备受争议，甚至遭到逮捕，也在所不惜。事隔多年之后，他们都已经不再年轻，除了其中年龄最大，资历也最久的PeteSeeger，因为已经将近九十岁而减少公开演唱，BobDylan与JoanBaez也不再像过去那样热衷于政治，可是，早已当爷爷，奶奶的Peter,Paul&Mary却依然不改初衷，仍然非常积极的继续宣扬他们的理念，而且不但唱给昔日的歌迷与群众听，还透过活泼可爱的包装，把是非对错的观念传递给新生代的儿童，堪称非常少见的特例。

他们曾经在90年代为公共电视网举办过一场亲子演唱会的特别节目，许多当年听着他们歌曲长大的人，都带着稚龄的孩子，"三代同堂"地前去观赏。节目一开头，他们就唱出脍炙人口的Puff,theMagicDragon，以及一系列幽默，风趣的歌曲，然后不着痕迹的带来IfIHadaHammer等经典，教得孩子们一起来对抗世界所有的不平。
